Shopping in Rome

This window just reminded me of Helen for some reason ...

How much is that doggie in the window?

Especially for Abbey - a Frenchie in Italy!

Upstairs at "Tech It Easy" in the Galleria Alberto Sordi (aka "the mall")

Can you imagine giving this knife block as a newlywed present?

Fay asked me to pick up one of the Martini map bags for her.  Apparently they are hard to come by in the United States.

But Martini's bags were darn near everywhere in Rome!  (Literally, in every shopping area, Martini had a window. He even had a display in the airport.)

Yes, you're seeing those prices correctly. The wallet (far left, upright) is €89.00 ($132.50) and the coin purse (above, lower left corner) is €22.00 ($32.75).

They are nice looking and well-made bags nonetheless.

And this one reminded me of Casey for some reason.

Fay's mother-ship.

I'm sure it doesn't mean the same as "gaudy."

For Cindy!

I'm not ashamed to admit that the prices of pretty much everything in Rome left me shell-shocked.

This one was hard to get into a decent photo but it's also for Casey.

Al: "Look, over there - an outdoor cigarette vending machine."

Joy: "No, honey - that vending machine is selling condoms."

THIS was the cigarette vending machine - right there on the street.

The Campo de Fiori market had a lot of t-shirts for sale ...

... and a good number of them focused on the Simpsons for some reason.

A store for Ginger ...

... and one for Helen.

The Polish Office of Tourism in Rome - for Izzy.

For the discriminating cyclist, a nicely appointed specimen from Ferrari.

And Ferrari's version of a race car.
